November 17^th is National Rural Health Day, and Governor LePage has declared Maine’s participation in the day. Rural communities encounter unique healthcare needs. Yet precisely because of their smaller, sparser populations, they are often overlooked. It is more difficult to attract health care providers to rural settings, and more expensive for individuals to the care they need.
